As the year winds down and the festive season begins to glow around us, Canvas invites you into a series of peaceful, creative evenings designed to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and make something beautiful with your own hands.
Each workshop in our Starry Nights series is inspired by winter’s quiet magic — swirling skies, evergreen circles, shimmering lights, and the quiet wonder of the Nativity.
Whether you’re an experienced artist or picking up a paintbrush for the very first time, you’ll be guided step-by-step as we paint together in a relaxed, welcoming space.
Workshops run from 6:30–8:30 PM.
$65 per class — includes all supplies, gentle instruction, and your finished painting to take home.
Bundle 3 or more classes for a discounted rate.
This season, give yourself (and your loved ones) a night of creativity, calm, and color.
Upcoming Workshops

December 4 — A Quiet Forest Evening
Create your own circular painting with silhouetted pines crowing the majestic night sky. We will use acrylic on wood for this masterpiece.
December 11 — Dance of the Winter Sky
A shimmering Northern Lights scene full of movement, glow, and magic. This piece will be created with oil paint on canvas.
December 18 — Silent Night: A Nativity Scene
A gentle, expressive take on the Nativity — perfect for the week before Christmas. This will be acrylic on canvas.

From the Metropolitan Arts Council website - “Greenville Open Studios celebrates the local visual arts community with free studio tours for the public. What began as an idea among a small group of artists to raise awareness of their practice in the greater community has evolved into a full-fledged annual event. This exciting tradition is now celebrating its 21st year!
The goals of Greenville Open Studios are to provide free and convenient community access to visual arts, to educate and create a dialogue between artists and the general public by opening artists’ places of work and inviting the community-at-large to participate in the creative process and to create new marketing opportunities for artists. It is the organizers’ desire that the project will open up the world of visual artists to everyone – from the seasoned collector to the first-time art buyer to the curious general public.
Last year, the 2022 self-guided tour featured 150 artists and their studios-100 studio locations varied throughout a 15-mile radius of downtown Greenville with Easley, Greer, Travelers Rest and Simpsonville included. The 2023 Open Studios catalog will be released in October. The 2022 Open Studios catalogue remains available for pick up in our office, and serves as a vital resource for art supporters. Stop by at any time of the year and pick up a copy to learn more about MAC and Open Studios!”
