Patience isn’t just a virtue, but a force that is felt like ripples in a pond. When we choose patience, chaos loses its hold.

Peace is unit of measurement. It’s a compass to the path of life. Prayer is a vehicle for our souls to navigate the waters of life, measuring the stars with the weight of perfect peace.

May you be blessed to fly with a feisty flock, who stick together, show up for one another, and ride the waves of life with grace. He who has friends is a rich man indeed.

This painting was done over the span of a few years in several stages. It seemed to evolve with me. The final changes were made when we moved to Greenville from TX. The transition was difficult but we knew in our bones this was home for all our tomorrows.

This painting is from a series I did in 2019 where I was exploring the connection between nature and the revelation of a Creator. The colors and movement are meant to reflect the ethereal experience of connecting with spirit through the beauty around us.

Unfailing Love is a visual exploration of the steadfast nature of God’s wild all-consuming love. In every season, wether we feel near or far, we are the object of His affection. We are His pearl of great price—the reward of His suffering. At the end of our journey here I truly believe all that will matter is love. Not the cheap shallow love this world so often offers, but the perfectly satisfying and soul drenching love that is stronger than death.
The stark contrasting colors, and wild imaginative mark making of this series were a departure for me from my last collection of abstract landscapes in oils. Many of the marks were made with my fingers and hands. The meaning of the collection was revealed along the way and it fell in line with the manner in which they were created. It was intimate, often with no brushes between me and the canvas. It was messy, as love often is. And it was intoxicating. Each painting seemed to inspire its own song as it was created. As I worshiped through painting, places from deep within cried out in declaration of the faithfulness of His unfailing love.
My prayer is that those who encounter these pieces somehow receive the transference of those depths from which they were created. That a by-passing of the mind makes way for the viewer’s spirit to call out to Papa God, love Himself.
“We have come into an intimate experience with God’s love, and we trust in the love he has for us. God is love! Those who are living in love are living in God, and God lives through them.” 1 John 4:16 TPT

The unseen dimension of thought is the beginning of all creation—in the thoughts of God. Everything that exists in the visible realm once existed as a thought. What worlds are we creating with our thoughts?
We cry out to be known. Known with a clear conscience, and earnest intention. We were made to be known.
