Studio Art: Drawing from Life

Studio Art: Drawing from Life

$140.00

This art course is designed to develop the student’s drawing skills through a 4 week study of the various techniques and exercises used by the master’s throughout history. Growth in skill and technique will be encouraged throughout the process. Prior drawing experience is not necessary to be successful, as this class will be accessible to all skill levels. We will cover drawing from life, landscape and architecture, and portraits. Through applied technique and practice you will see progress by the end of the class. Drawing is a foundational skill to all other art classes, and as such, should be practiced regularly by every artist.

This class will be on Thursdays 3:45pm-4:45pm, starting January 15th-February 5th. After registering for the class, the students will receive a syllabus via email with a supply list. These supplies are to be used by the student at home for their daily sketchbook assignments. All supplies needed in class will be provided. Classes can not be made up or refunded if missed.

I’ve taught homeschool students for seven years, both studio art and art history, out of my studio and in co-op settings. I have a Bachelors degree in History & Art from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I’m passionate as a teacher in helping students develop their personal style/voice while discovering the profound God given gift of creativity within them.
